Challenges and goals<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Before 2018, Hochland Espa\u00f1ola S.A. used continuous inkjet printers and labels for labeling. The aim was to find a more environmentally friendly and cost-efficient solution that also requires less maintenance. Another important criterion was the simple integration of variable data.<\/p>\n\n

Selection process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In 2017, Hochland tested various systems, including large character printers with wax cartridges. However, these proved to be unsuitable for the cool production environment of cheese packaging due to the high operating temperature of up to 180 \u00b0C. In addition, the consumables were more expensive and handling was more complicated. The IJ4000 impressed with its simple operation, clean printing results and low operating costs. <\/p>\n\n

Implementation and integration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The implementation of the IJ4000 went smoothly. All variable data is inserted into the print images directly from the SAP ERP system via Nicelabel. This eliminates manual input and therefore input errors by 100%. <\/p>\n\n

Hochland is very satisfied with the support provided by Diagraph. The service is excellent and a technician is quickly on site when needed. <\/p>\n\n

Results and successes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The IJ4000 has been in use on three packaging lines since 2018. The changeover brought Hochland numerous advantages: <\/p>\n\n
