Pallets labeling

Label pallets cheaply and reliably

Labeling pallets

The right labeler for your application

Most industrial manufacturers use labels to mark their pallets.

It is possible to print and donate labels with an identification system. Our all-electric label printing dispensers are the right choice for this. The label is printed with a thermal transfer printer. After that, it is dispensed on one or two sides of the pallet, if necessary, across the corner.

Thermal transfer printing systems, such as those used in our label printing dispensers, are particularly suitable where good legibility of the printed image is important. Thermal transfer systems are also excellent for printing bar codes and QR codes, which are also used for transport labels.

Besides, pre-printed labels can also be donated only, our label dispenser is suitable for this purpose.

No enclosure necessary

Due to the sensor-monitored dispensing process, our purely electrically operated labeling systems do not require a safety enclosure.

However, if your extreme production conditions require an enclosure, for example due to very high or low temperatures or extreme dust exposure, we can of course also supply you with an enclosure.

Automatic data exchange

To avoid labeling errors, our labeling systems are fully integrated into your production. You obtain your print data directly from your ERP system and the correct label is always dispensed through interfaces to the conveyor line.

In addition, the use of Nicelabel allows not only easy label creation, but also the management and monitoring of the entire labeling process.

This means that nothing stands in the way of a fully automated labeling process.

Many label sizes possible

Labels in DIN A5 format are generally used for pallet labeling, which corresponds to a size of 148 x 210 mm.

However, you can dispense much larger labels with a size of up to 167 mm x 355 mm with our labelers.

Very small labels are also possible, the smallest format is 13 x 26 mm.

Pallet marking: Labeling vs. printing

Labeling pallet loads

Labeling involves attaching one or more labels to the load on the pallet - often wrapped in film. These labels contain important information, such as

  • Logistics details: What is on the pallet?
  • Shipping data: For example, a GS1 shipping label for tracking purposes.

Advantages of pallet labeling:

  • Flexibility: Adaptable to different loads and requirements, including changing information.
  • Variety of information: Space for detailed information such as barcodes, shipping data and logos.
  • Material compatibility: Can be used on other materials in addition to film.
  • Traceability: Enables integration into logistics systems through standardized labels (e.g. GS1).

This method is relevant for all customers who ship goods on pallets - regardless of sector or load.

Printing on pallets

When printing on pallets, the pallet blocks are provided with markings such as EPAL, EUR or an IPPC marking directly during production. This is done using the ResMark 5000, a large character printer that was specially developed for this application.

Advantages of pallet printing:

  • Cost-efficient: No additional materials such as labels required.
  • Robust solution: Particularly useful in dusty production environments.
  • Flexibility: print images in different sizes possible.
  • High print quality and automatic nozzle cleaning ensure precise results.
  • Efficient: print image heights of up to 100 mm for large markings

This method is suitable for pallet manufacturers to support the manufacturing process with high-quality direct printing.
