Connectivity makes product marking easier
Digitization is on everyone’s lips in the industry right now. However, the degree of implementation in individual companies varies enormously. One thing is certain: considerable cost savings and process simplifications can be achieved, especially in the area of product labeling. Allen Coding showed some examples at the booth and offers individual solutions to the customers. Both the systems for product labeling and for coding secondary packaging are operated centrally from one control system.
Purely electric labeler consumes 50% less energy
Allen Coding’s secondary packaging labeling product range was completed at FachPack with the Diagraph PA7100 labeling system. The all-electric label print dispenser consumes 50% less energy than pneumatically driven models. The precision electric servomotors enable exact positioning of the labels – even on uneven products such as sacks or foiled beverage packs. Labeling on boxes of different heights or around corners is also possible. The system can also be easily moved from one production line to another, as no compressed air lines are required.
Marking euro pallets with the Diagraph IJ4000 large character inkjet printer
The Diagraph IJ4000 high-resolution large character inkjet printer has been approved by the European Pallet Association (EPAL) for marking pallets. This means that marking pallets using branding irons will be a thing of the past in the future, and digitalization is also making its way into pallet marking. For approval by EPAL, both the hardware and the ink underwent extensive testing and inspection. Automatic self-cleaning and central ink supply make the printer particularly suitable for use in harsh production environments. The IJ4000 offers a print image height of 100mm, a resolution of 300dpi and print speeds up to 90m/min. The Diagraph IJ4000 printing systems are currently the large character coders with the lowest maintenance requirements, shortest downtimes and longest service life.
Due to the many new contacts and future projects, FachPack 2019 was again a great success for Allen Coding.
