FachPack 2019 – CONNECTIVITY

Connectivity makes product labeling easier
Digitization has become the talk of the industry. However, the degree of implementation varies considerably between companies. One thing is for sure: Significant cost savings and process optimizations can be achieved, especially in the area of product labeling. Allen Coding presented a number of examples at its exhibition booth and offers individual solutions to its customers. Both the systems for product labeling and for coding secondary packaging are operated centrally via a single control.
All-electric labeler consumes 50% less energy
Allen Coding’s product range for labeling secondary packaging was rounded off at FachPack with the Diagraph PA7100 labeling system. The all-electric print & apply labeler consumes 50% less power than pneumatically driven models. The powerful electric servo motors ensure accurate positioning of the labels – even on non-flat surfaces such as bags or foil-wrapped beverage packs. Labeling on boxes of different heights and around corners is also possible. The system can also be easily transported between production lines, as no compressed air lines are required.

Labeling euro pallets with Diagraph IJ4000 Large Character Inkjet printer
The Diagraph IJ4000 high-resolution Large Character Inkjet printer has been approved by the European Pallet Association (EPAL) for labeling pallets. This means that labeling pallets using branding stamps will soon be a thing of the past. Digitization too is finding its way into pallet labeling. For EPAL approval, both the hardware and the ink were subjected to extensive testing and inspection. Automatic self-cleaning and central ink supply make the printer particularly suitable for use in harsh production environments. The IJ4000 has a print image height of 100 mm, a resolution of 300 dpi and print speeds up to 90 m/min. The Diagraph IJ4000 large character coders currently require the least maintenance, have the shortest downtime and the longest service life of any printer on the market.

Due to the many new contacts and future projects, the 2019 FachPack exhibition once again was a great success for Allen Coding.
